To be honest, I wasn't able to clear things out right away, but I'm really happy I've had this chance to discover these plants. It's quite a contrast to when I moved in near Phoenix. That place sprouted just the really weedy opportunistic plants any time I let it go. This property is mostly old growth desert scrub, and the plants that come up are definitely more desirable! Other than cholla, of which there's far too much!
